China Joins UN Climate Change Feel Good Party

According to news.com.au and Federal Opposition environment spokesman Mark Butler, China has made a ‘spectacular move’ in terms of its climate change policy – and Australia should be following suit… or else.

Before we join them in getting down on our knees and praising China, let’s expose this for the complete dog’s droppings it really is.

Hungry? Have Some Internet

Something tells me I’ve read more of the 17 ‘goals’ and 169 ‘targets’ in the UN’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ than Mark Zuckerberg, Bill and Melinda Gates, the folks over at Sky News and the dimwits at the UN who drafted them (possibly all put together).

In the race to seem good, the following pledge has come hot on the heels of the UN’s latest agenda:

What Has Julie Bishop Signed?

Julie Bishop has endorsed new global development goals that aim to reduce poverty over the next 15 years.

Any time I see our politicians agreeing to a UN ‘agenda’, I get very suspicious. In this case, Australia has signed up to the UN’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals’, replete with 17 goals and 169 targets. That’s right, 169.

You would think that we would get some detail of what we’ve agreed to. Not so. Instead, Sky News thought it would be better to provide us with a sound bite instead:

SMH Thinks Labor Stopped the Boats

Andrew Bolt points us to an article of Nicole Hasham’s in the Sydney Morning Herald, which audaciously tries to argue that Labor were the ones who really stopped the boats. Here is the graph they rely on:

VW Crisis Apparently Means We’re All Doomed

You can always rely on news.com.au to come out with a scare story. This time it’s all about the VW scandal and how it will be a ‘crisis worse than Greece’. Here’s the grab from the site’s main page – which typically doesn’t quite match the substance of the story:

No Need for Border Protection Minister on Turnbull’s Security Council

Can anybody tell me why Peter Dutton, the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, whose ministry is in charge of a government operation called ‘Operation Sovereign Borders‘ has been removed from the government’s national security council by Turnbull?

I’m all ears…

World Climate Change Court Apparently Needed

What is it with the extreme Left and its thirst for authoritarianism? According to one lawyer, we need a ‘world court’ to deal with ‘false claims by climate sceptics’:

Turnbull’s Refugee Resolve to be Tested – Further Update

I have written twice on this topic in the last four days and there is nothing to suggest that there won’t be a lot more coming.

Families Making $150,000 a Year Don’t Need Welfare

As a percentage, how much of our total taxes do you think should be spent on social security and welfare? Before you come up with your number, try to think of all the things we expect our federal government to do when it comes to health, education, defence, major infrastructure, international relations and disaster relief (just to name a few).

Good, now keep your nominated percentage in mind.
