Editorial – Malcolm, We Have a Spending Problem

While Turnbull and Bishop try to chophold hands with the Saudis on human rights, let’s go back to what Turnbull’s biggest focus should be – the budget. You know, that thing which currently has a $400 billion dollar debt sitting on the books, with annual deficits adding around $35 billion to the pile each year – and to which our future prosperity is tied.

Obama Blames Everybody for Gun Violence

Following the Oregon shooting, Obama’s new gun violence strategy is to blame everybody:

Turnbull Leaves the Door Open to Climate Policy ‘Tweak’

I’ve noticed lately that Turnbull loves to use the word ‘agile’. This time, he has used the word to describe his intended approach to climate change policy:

Shark ‘Expert’ Says Culling not the Solution

The shameless and rampant manner in which the main stream media finds politically motivated university ‘professors’ to quote in their stories needs more attention.

This time, I’ll at least respect the fact that Dr Neff appears to actually have done some mildly relevant research on the topic when he says the following:

Gillard the ‘Victim’ Yet Again

Julia Gillard starts off by empathising with Tony Abbott:

‘I do have an understanding of what Tony Abbott is going through it is a very difficult thing you are very bruised and battered’, she said.

‘You don’t realise how intellectually and physically exhausted you are until you stop’.

Hungry? Have Some Internet

Something tells me I’ve read more of the 17 ‘goals’ and 169 ‘targets’ in the UN’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ than Mark Zuckerberg, Bill and Melinda Gates, the folks over at Sky News and the dimwits at the UN who drafted them (possibly all put together).

In the race to seem good, the following pledge has come hot on the heels of the UN’s latest agenda:

What Has Julie Bishop Signed?

Julie Bishop has endorsed new global development goals that aim to reduce poverty over the next 15 years.

Any time I see our politicians agreeing to a UN ‘agenda’, I get very suspicious. In this case, Australia has signed up to the UN’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals’, replete with 17 goals and 169 targets. That’s right, 169.

You would think that we would get some detail of what we’ve agreed to. Not so. Instead, Sky News thought it would be better to provide us with a sound bite instead:

SMH Thinks Labor Stopped the Boats

Andrew Bolt points us to an article of Nicole Hasham’s in the Sydney Morning Herald, which audaciously tries to argue that Labor were the ones who really stopped the boats. Here is the graph they rely on:

No Need for Border Protection Minister on Turnbull’s Security Council

Can anybody tell me why Peter Dutton, the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, whose ministry is in charge of a government operation called ‘Operation Sovereign Borders‘ has been removed from the government’s national security council by Turnbull?

I’m all ears…

Turnbull’s Refugee Resolve to be Tested – Further Update

I have written twice on this topic in the last four days and there is nothing to suggest that there won’t be a lot more coming.
