Following the Oregon shooting, Obama’s new gun violence strategy is to blame everybody:

Barack Obama has said all Americans are ‘answerable’ for gun violence in the US as he responds to a shooting at an Oregon college. 

‘We are the only advanced country on earth that sees these kinds of mass shootings every few months,’ he said.

‘Somehow this has become routine. The reporting is routine, my response here at this podium ends up being routine.

‘We can actually do something about it, but we’re going to have to change our laws,’ Obama said.

‘It cannot be this easy for somebody who wants to inflict harm on other people to get his or her hands on a gun.’

‘We collectively are answerable to those families because of our inaction‘.

Why is Obama blaming the very people who hoped and rightfully expected him to do something about the problem? It’s not ‘our inaction’ Obama, it’s your inaction over the last seven years. We are not ‘collectively answerable’, you are.

By definition, Obama is also including victims of gun violence in his ‘everybody is to blame’ strategy. Bravo.

Obama must still be under the influence from whatever was getting smoked at the UN conference.
