A few years ago, my lovely partner and I saw a mother duck and her young ducklings surrounded by a murder of crows on someone’s front lawn. As you can imagine:
The mother’s problem was that the local river was about 300 metres away down the road and shepherding her flightless young chicks that far back to the water (ducks and water go great – crows and water not so) was impossible without losing some or all of them.
So the good Mrs and I decided to intervene by shooing the crows away and guiding the ducks back to the river. Suffice to say, we felt pretty pleased with ourselves as we watched the young family take to the water. As we walked back up the road, the crows (now on the roof of the house) made it very clear what they thought too!
We then went to the local Chinese restaurant to celebrate the rightful future of ducks.
In the spirit of saving young ducklings, Andrew Bolt (via Rita Panahi) has shared this beautiful video – it’ll make your heart warm:

Hurricane Irma has been no different.

Reader Jason has noticed that the All of Us unit guide appears to have changed:

The short answer is: YES! Yes it is!!!
(Hold for applause).

Power firms told to cut prices
The nation’s electricity industry chiefs will be hauled in by Malcolm Turnbull for the second time in three weeks following an audit that rcevealed more than a million households are still paying the highest price rates imposed by energy retailers.
If you’re not a regular visitor to Catallaxy Files (you ought to be), then you may not be familiar with this graph – which clearly shows what happens when governments diddle around in energy markets and increase subsidies to wind and solar energy in the name of ‘climate action’:

If I presented the following conversation to you, who would you say is the crazy one?

Bill Shorten appears committed to destroying Australia’s middle and aspirational classes. His latest ill-conceived attack on discretionary family trusts makes this abundantly clear.

I was watching Andrew Bolt’s show on Sky tonight and he had a concerned mother on to discuss the Safe Schools agenda. Some of you may know her from this video:

Who is the one creating more wealth for toil:
