Reader Peter Part reminded me of this classic today and this site would be incomplete without it.
For those who do not know the history, Kerry Packer was called before an Australian government inquiry into his tax affairs, along with his influence and attempts to take over Fairfax media (which he ultimately failed to do due to the ever changing and prescriptive nature of Australia’s media laws). To say he made fools of the politicians holding the inquiry is an understatement!
I think we can all draw some inspiration from Kerry’s performance. The way he stirs his tea while giving the inquiry a much needed lesson on tax minimisation is absolutely priceless (at 7:28).
